Here are links to some of the technology we will be using this year. This list will be expanding as our year progresses. |
Tinkercad Sign-up - We will continue using Tinkercad - a 3-d modeling and printing program this year. Each student will need to sign up individually through a home account. You can explore the site and have your student try some of the tutorials. Once you have an account, please have the student write his/her password in their planner and/or send me a notice. I am able to open only one account in my name and only one person can access it at a time (i.e. I cannot sign all of the class onto my account - hence the need for separate accounts. Please read more about students accounts and privacy through this link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SHYQ_U1CgRwvYy-xsgaHRbmrI8eI8k_fqRzZ1M3aEpA/edit Google - Students will continue to use Google Docs and other Google applications for their projects. Each student has an account that is managed by the school district. To access the account, students must go to the Montair wiki site and select "SRVUSD Google Student Login". To log in, students will need to type as follows (using the first initial of their first name and their last name rather than sperrings.) User Name: [email protected] Password: ID#(student number) The student number is the same as their lunch card number. Most students have had practice logging onto their Google accounts this way. Other Useful Aps (available on an I-pad): Educreations and Show-Me - Both of these free applications allow a student to record, draw, type and photograph work. These are especially useful when learning and practicing new math concepts. |
